Well, yeah, sort of.....you know how it's first one thing and then another? Murphy's Law strikes again.
We stayed the night in Tonopah, NV and every thing worked just fine, including the ice maker. We got settled in Pahrump, NV the next day and the ice maker quit working. Southern Nevada has been running about 10 degrees above normal lately, high 80's and 90's. The only place warmer is Death Valley (see the pics in the last post). I really missed my ice. Tom tried to fix it but it required a whole new water line to the ice maker, so we called in some help. Of course, the whole refridgerator must be removed to replace the line and also of course, both fridge and freezer are jammed full since we've just started the trip. I filled every insulated bag Pam and I owned and prayed it wouldn't be too long or too hot before the work was done.
So now I'm a happy girl with plenty of ice and we had 2 days of cooler weather, temps in the 60's and 70's. Then the temps go up again into the high 80's. What else can happen?
How about one of the roof airs stop working? Yeah, that'll do for now. The compressor on the bedroom air conditioner froze. And guess what else? It's a Carrier RV model. Carrier stopped making RV models so now we have to have something else put in to replace it. Camping World in Las Vegas has a good rep, so we're going there on the 19th before we check in to Thousand Trails. $$$$
More later.....
